Limoncello cream is really delicious. You can serve it after a meal, but you can put it on ice cream or use in the preparation of other creams and desserts. It ‘s really easy to prepare.
Ingredients:
peel of 5 organic lemons
1/2 liter alcohol at 95%
1 liter of milk (I use full cream long life milk)
1 kg sugar
Wash the lemons. Peel them with a potato peeler, so you don’t to cut the white part.
In a glass container pour 500 ml of alcohol, add the lemons peels and put them to soak for a week.
After a week boil the milk with the sugar, stirring to dissolve the sugar, add the lemon zest macerated in alcohol and boil for 5 minutes, then remove the pan from the heat and let it cool .
When it’s cold add the alcohol, mixed, filtered and bottled, then put in the freezer. Keep it cold and ready to be served 🙂
Some people have asked about how well this keeps. The alcohol content is quite high to inhibit bacterial activity. I prefer keep it in the refrigerator, or even the freezer.

Looks delicious! Can’t wait to try it. Is this whole milk you are using? Is it possible to use 2% or lowfat milk? What about half & half?
