(english) Chocolate mice

With a little imagination and a few ingredients you can create something original. A cute idea for children’s birthday parties, or to decorate cakes and buffets, but also a fun activity to do with them at home and at school. You can prepare the mixture in advance, it is very easy and quickly. I have experienced this type of activity in Chile with my son’s teacher . We used to organize small workshops or handling activities during which they cooked, involving the children and their parents. They were always incredibly interested, concentrated and relaxed.
They love to cook and enjoy themselves  they also learn in an easy way skills such as counting, weighing and measuring
Take time to cook with your child is a great way of bonding and it is very funny.

Ingredients: (10 mice)

150g dark chocolate, broken into pieces
60 g cream
125 g wafer crumbs

For Decorating:

4 tablespoons icing sugar
cachous silver decorations
flaked almonds
5cm lengths to dozen red or black licorice

Melt the chocolate, and combine with cream. Stir in biscuit crumbs. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour
Roll by level tablespoonfuls of mixture into balls. Mold to a slight point at one end (the nose).
On each mouse, place cachous for eyes, almond slices for ears and a licorice string for the tail. 

Refrigerate until firm.
